Minimum Hardware Specifications

The below specifications can be used to install SWITCHWARE:

Virtual Server Requirements:

• Two (2) processors and two (2) cores
• 8 GB RAM (or better)
• 146GB thick provisioned drive **Disk volume is dependent on the FI’s requirements for retaining historical transaction data

Standard Server Requirements:

• (For AIX Operating System) IBM Power 9 server
• (For Linux Operating System) Intel Hi-Performance Processer
• 8 GB RAM (or better)
• Mirrored Enterprise SSD Drives (minimum of 300GB)

High-Performance Server Requirements:

• (For AIX Operating System) IBM Power 9 Series
• (For Linux Operating System) Intel Hi-Performance Processor
• 16 GB RAM (or higher)
• Mirrored Enterprise SSD Drives (Minimum of 300GB) **Disk volume is dependent on the FI’s requirements for retaining historical transaction data

Hardware Security Module (HSM):

Required for PIN validation, key translation and other encryption/decryption purposes.

• Futurex SSP 9000 (Emulating Thales)

• 8 GB RAM (or better)

• Intel Hi-Performance Processor
• 8 GB RAM (or higher) (Memory dependent on number of users)
• Mirrored Enterprise SSD Drives (Minimum of 300GB) **Disk volume is dependent on the FI’s requirements for retaining historical transaction data

Additional Client/Server Applications

Required additional components:

• IBM Informix Connect v4.10 (32-bit)
• ScreenConnect Client (Required for remote support)
• Active directory LDS (Required for customers without Windows domain controller. Used for single sign-on user authentication.)

Standard Server Requirements:

• Intel Hi-Performance Processor
• 8 GB RAM (or better) (Memory dependent on number of users)
• Mirrored Enterprise SSD Drives (Minimum of 300GB)

Additional Client/Server Applications

Required for connecting client systems to the database server.

• IBM Informix Connect v4.1 (32-bit)
• Oracle Net Configuration Assistant (For customers using Oracle database only)
• Microsoft .NET 4.8 Framework
• ODBC Client Connectivity
• CSFi Client Software (Available on our SECURE downloads page)
• ScreenConnect Client (Required for remote support)

NOTES. CSFi only supports VMware Hypervisor, customers who use other virtualization platforms will only receive limited support from CSFi as it pertains exclusively to the processing environment. IBM Informix requires 32-bit I-connect installed on the client PC. The CPU processing power and disk space requirements are dependent on transaction volume and card database size. CSFi recommends identical production and backup servers. If a third server is required for testing and/or development purposes only, a less powerful server that is capable of supporting the OS and database software is allowed. Any remote DR servers meant to continue operations must be identical to the production server. Third party add-ons for Linux are not supported by CSFi. FI’s installing third party add-ons may incur additional support cost where it impacts CSFi software performance or transaction processing. 3.12 Legacy Clients are replaced by the G4 Web Apps.
