Debit & Credit Issuance
SWITCHWARE® performs ATM and debit card processing and interfaces to the card issuing module for credit card processing functions. An additional back office server is integrated to perform back office functions including installment billing, interest adjustments, statement generation, clearing and settlement and report generation.

Loyalty & Rewards Programs
This solution is meant for financial institutions who wish to associate loyalty or reward schemes to issued cards. The loyalty management system offers scheme enrollment, point redemption and multiple loyalty counters for a single card. Rewards types may be accumulated in points, mileage, coupons, cash back, bonus or purchase refund.
SWITCHWARE® would manage the direct interfaces required for the external authorization gateways like MasterCard or Visa. Backend loyalty and reward functions would be managed by the loyalty and rewards management system.
Dual Control “Maker/Checker” Card Management
This SWITCHWARE® feature enhances the system by creating a validation mechanism in the CCM client. It permits one person to make the card maintenance changes in the CCM client application and a second person to approve the change. This provides dual control for stricter governance and additional validation before card maintenance changes are finalized in the production system. There are two types of user definitions:
Processors – users who initiate and perform card maintenance changes but require an Authorizer to review the changes before they are committed to the production tables by an authorizer.
Authorizers – these users cannot initiate any changes. These users are only responsible for reviewing changes, requesting corrections by the processor and committing them to production tables only after the review process has been successfully completed.
The maker-checker controls segregate duties, meaning no single employee/individual can have complete control over a card maintenance action. While the maker (processor) inputs the modification, a second party “the checker” (authorizer) verifies the modification data and then authorizes, denies, or recommends changes/corrections to the processor initiating the action. So, one individual cannot perpetrate a fraudulent or mistaken modification entirely on his own without the collusion of the other.
The maker/checker client feature records all changes made by an identified processor including the BIN, cardholder number (truncated), change type and current status of the modification process. Monitoring and administration of the authentication process is highly intuitive with color coded screen views indicating whether a change has been submitted, declined, completed or requires correction. The date that the Processor performed the change and the date and identity of the Authorizer declining or approving the change is also listed.
